Organization Description
Learning Enterprises is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that expands global horizons through international service teaching. Since its founding in 1992, Learning Enterprises has been offering volunteers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to teach English abroad.
The following five principles guide Learning Enterprises:

With a history of programs across countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, Learning Enterprises provides volunteers with a unique opportunity to teach English in under-resourced areas and immerse themselves in the culture of their host community.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a Learning Enterprises volunteer, you will create and implement your own curriculum that best suits your class. While you have set work time, you also have free time that you may spend however you'd like with your host family, community, students, etc. Your host family will provide you with accommodations and regular meals and has graciously agreed to share their cultural and familial heritage with you.
There are ZERO program fees. Volunteers are solely responsible for the cost of transportation to and from their program bases and for any items not provided by host families.
QUAlifications
Learning Enterprises requires all applicants to be at least 18 years old when submitting their application, but there is no upper age limit for volunteers for our programs. University students generally run our programs. As such, you should be prepared to function as a team of youth and take direction from our program directors.
TIME COMMITMENT
You must be able to commit to the program and should anticipate spending the majority of your summer in the country. Time varies from program to program. See our program pages for more information.
